To drive the energy transition forward, decentralized battery storage systems are essential. These serve as virtual power plants, store renewable energies and stabilize the grid. However, the resource-intensive new production of the necessary batteries would promote the mining of conflict materials and would therefore not be sustainable.
That's why we use used electric car batteries, which are ideal for use in stationary operation due to their residual capacity. By simultaneously using them for self-consumption maximization in homes or for peak load capping in businesses and grid stabilization, the storage system pays for itself in a very short time and drives the energy transition at the same time.
