FAQ - Conference Rooms Düsseldorf

General Information

What types of events can be held here? +

A variety of events can be held at STARTPLATZ. Our flexibly designed rooms are suitable for workshops, seminars, conferences, meetings, presentations, team events, and networking events. Creative formats such as brainstorming sessions, training courses, or team-building events are also possible with us. Thanks to different room sizes and flexible equipment, we can adapt your event individually to your needs.

How many guests can be accommodated at maximum? +

The maximum number of guests depends on the size of the room booked. Our premises offer space for groups of different sizes, from small meetings to larger events. Depending on the room, we can accommodate up to 120 people. We are happy to advise you on which room is best suited for your event to ensure comfort and a pleasant atmosphere for all participants.

What equipment and technology are available (e.g., lighting, sound, screen)? +

The basic equipment of each room includes Wi-Fi, a screen (including HDMI connection), and a metaplan board. Depending on the room and event requirements, flipchart, moderation kit, microphone, and speakers can also be provided. On request, we also offer customized solutions for your event.

Are pets allowed in the event room? +

Dogs are allowed in most event rooms, with the exception of the Panama & Miami rooms. In public areas, please keep them on a leash.

Booking & Costs

How does the booking process work, and what advance payments are required? +

Booking requests can be made either by email to dus@startplatz.de or by phone at 0211 936 725 20.

Is there a minimum or maximum duration for events? +

Most rooms can be booked both by the hour and for entire days. The larger rooms, on the other hand, are only available for half-day or full-day bookings.

What cancellation conditions apply? +

Cancellations up to 4 weeks before the start of the event are free of charge. For cancellations up to 2 weeks before the start of the event, we charge 50% of the room rental. If the cancellation is made less than 2 weeks before the start of the event, we charge 100% of the room rental and 50% of the beverage package.

Can I book the room outside of regular business hours? +

Yes, booking outside regular business hours is generally possible. Please note that additional personnel costs may be incurred for this.

Catering & Gastronomy

Is there in-house catering or can external caterers be used? +

There is no in-house catering, but we are happy to recommend catering companies that we work with regularly on request.

Are own food and drinks allowed? +

You can organize your catering yourself and bring both your own food and drinks.

Is there a bar or beverage service on site? +

STARTPLATZ is equipped with a coffee counter and a fully automatic coffee machine as well as several refrigerators. On request, we can also provide you with a beverage package for the room you have booked.

Are catering and drinks included in the price or do they have to be booked separately? +

Catering and drinks are not included in the price and must be booked separately. We offer various options that can be tailored to your individual needs.

Equipment & Service

Are there sufficient parking facilities for guests? +

Parking spaces are available in limited numbers next door and in the Hyatt underground garage.

Are there barrier-free access and toilets? +

The premises at STARTPLATZ, including the toilets, are barrier-free accessible.

Can decorations be brought in and customized? +

Your own decorations can be brought in and adapted as you wish. For elaborate decorations, we ask that you discuss with us in advance.

How flexible are the room arrangements for different event formats? +

The room arrangements are very flexible and can be adapted depending on the room. Possible options include rows of chairs, rows with tables, U-shape, chair circles, or table blocks.
