Our Vision

STARTPLATZ is the largest startup incubator and accelerator in NRW, with locations in Cologne and Düsseldorf.

At STARTPLATZ we have created an ecosystem that offers aspiring startups and innovative companies space to grow. We are the epicenter of the Rhineland startup scene, offering consulting & coaching, workshops & events, and access to our large network of startups, corporates, investors, and innovators. 


During the past 10 years our incubator has supported over 1130 startups and accelerated over 300 teams.

We make our accelerator startups investment ready and help them scale. With a survival rate of 70% when participating in our Accelerator Program, many of our startups succeed after the program. 

We value staying in touch and continuing to support before, during and after the program. This resulted in highly successful startups.

Kalle Studer

Accelerator Operations

Kalle is responsible for the operational and administrative tasks of the Accelerator Program. He focuses on supporting our promising startups in their development and scouting new talents.

Jan Reemen

Accelerator Operations

Jan focuses on identifying innovative ideas and providing relentless support to our startups. As an intern, Jan takes responsibility for the operational and administrative support of the Accelerator Program.

Janina Schmieds 

Accelerator Manager

Janina is responsible for the Accelerator Program. She designs the program and is the connection point between startups & mentors, making sure that our accelerator startups always get the support they need.
