General Information

What types of events can be hosted here? +

A variety of events can be hosted at Startplatz. Our flexibly designed rooms are suitable for workshops, seminars, conferences, meetings, presentations, team events, and networking events. Creative formats such as brainstorming sessions, training courses, or team-building events are also possible with us. Thanks to the different room sizes and flexible equipment, we can customize your event to your individual needs.

How many guests can be accommodated maximum? +

The maximum number of guests depends on the size of the room booked. Our facilities offer space for different sized groups, from small meetings to larger events. Depending on the room, we can accommodate up to 150 people. We are happy to advise you on which room is best suited for your event to ensure comfort and a pleasant atmosphere for all participants.

What equipment and technology are available (e.g., stage, lighting, sound, projector)? +

The basic equipment of each room includes WiFi, a screen (including HDMI connection), and a metaplan board. Depending on the room and event requirements, flipcharts, facilitation kits, microphones, and speakers can also be provided. We also offer customized solutions for your event upon request.

Are pets allowed in the event space? +

Dogs are allowed in the event space. Please keep them on a leash in public areas.

Booking & Costs

How does the booking process work, and what advance payments are required? +

Booking requests can be made either by email to buchungsanfrage@startplatz.de or by phone at 0221-975 802 15

Is there a minimum or maximum duration for events? +

Most rooms can be booked both by the hour and for entire days. The larger rooms, however, are only available for half-day or full-day bookings.

What cancellation conditions apply? +

Cancellations up to 4 weeks before the event start are free of charge. For cancellations up to 2 weeks before the event start, we charge 50% of the room rental. If the cancellation occurs less than 2 weeks before the event start, we will charge 100% of the room rental and 50% of the beverage package.

Can I book the room outside regular business hours? +

Yes, booking outside regular business hours is generally possible. Please note that additional personnel costs may apply.

Catering & Gastronomy

Is there in-house catering or can external caterers be used? +

There is no in-house catering, however, we are happy to recommend catering companies with whom we work regularly upon request.

Are outside food and beverages allowed? +

You can organize your own catering and bring both your own food and beverages.

Is there a bar or beverage service on site? +

Startplatz is equipped with a coffee counter and a fully automatic coffee machine as well as several refrigerators. Upon request, we can also provide a beverage package for the room you have booked.

Are catering and beverages included in the price or must they be booked separately? +

Catering and beverages are not included in the price and must be booked separately. We offer various options that can be tailored to your specific needs.

Equipment & Service

Are there sufficient parking options for guests? +

The building has an underground parking garage with direct access to Startplatz. Discounted day tickets for parking can also be purchased at the reception on the 3rd floor.

Are there accessible entrances and toilets available? +

The facilities at Startplatz, including the toilets, are accessible.

Can decorations be brought and customized? +

Your own decorations can be brought and customized as desired. For elaborate decorations, we ask that you discuss with us in advance.

How flexible are the room arrangements for different event formats? +

The room arrangements are very flexible and can be adjusted depending on the room. Options include row seating, rows with tables, U-shape, circle of chairs, or table blocks.
