Then STARTPLATZ is the place to be, our incubator programm is the way to do it! If accepted in the programm, you will get a free 3-months-full membership at STARTPLATZ which includes a fixed desk (24/7 access), free workshops about relevant topics (lean startup, business model canvas, and many more), regular coaching and mentoring as well as access to our strong network.

Two uprising startup locations: Cologne and Düsseldorf

We are looking for teams in Cologne as well as in Düsseldorf. As before, AXA insurance (worldwide insurance company no. 3) and Stadtwerke Düsseldorf act as partners and mentors for each one team of their area of expertise.

The scholarship Start!Werke by Stadtwerke Düsseldorf focuses on founders and startups in the realm of Smart City. That means e.g.:

  • Data driven services for citizens and corporates in regards to working and living in Düsseldorf
  • Smart mobility in the city
  • Modern living and related services
  • Digital solutions for services related to energy
  • Data driven systems for waste management and for all kinds of supply
  • Digital support systems in regards to craftmanship

The AXA Founders‘ Scholarship

AXA is looking for ideas in the sectors of Big Data, eHealth or digital mobility.
Your startup should cover one of the following topics:

  • How will SmartData, eHealth or innovative mobility services affect the insurance industry?
  • With an outlook on individual lifestyles and paths of life, what risks could appear in the future and how can we prevent them?
  • How can we protect our data and how will our data help to address our needs in the future?
  • How does the customer know what risks he or she can cover in the future?

Who we are looking for

STARTPLATZ focuses on digital and scalable business models. Therefore, we are looking for startups which want to grow fast. Your team should consist of two to four highly motivated people.

What you have to do

Why should we give the Founders‘ Scholarship especially to you?
All you have to do is to convince us with a well structured pitch deck.

Step 1 Apply until Friday, the 19th of August.
Step 2 If we accepted your application, you have to pitch in front of our jury either in Cologne or Düsseldorf shortly after.
Step 3 All teams that succeeded the application procedure will start the scholarship at 5th of September at STARTPLATZ with the Kick Off Meeting.
